Lithium-Based Science Leads the Field
Lithium is incredible. This remarkable metal is the third lightest known element in our universe—only Hydrogen (with 1 electron), and Helium (2 electrons) are lighter. The 3-electron configuration of Lithium results in an element with the highest electrochemical potential there is. This allows Lithium to combine with other key elements and form substances that have very low molecular weights and small radii. These unique qualities make it ideal for use in meeting engineering challenges.
Penetrx is an engineering-based company that has achieved many milestones through the use of Advanced Lithium Technologies. Penetrx products begin with select, high-grade quartz. This dense and highly durable material is melted in blast furnaces at temperatures exceeding 3,100 degrees Fahrenheit. It is further purified and then fused with lithium and other essential chemicals in proprietary processes. These processes allow it to remain in liquid form at normal atmospheric temperatures. After the addition of surfactants, penetrants, and wetting agents, Penetrx Liquid Quartz is formulated for residential and commercial applications.
So what does all this mean? It means that the Advanced Lithium Technology in Penetrx allows it to penetrate into places that lesser liquids can’t reach. There it reacts, converts and improves materials to produce more durable and weather-resistant structures.
PROBLEM: As concrete, stucco and similar substances cure, cement particles dissolve to form calcium silicate hydrates that bond with sand and aggregates. This produces the rigidity, strength and durability that makes cement-based substances the material of choice for many residential and commercial building applications.
Unfortunately, calcium hydroxide is also formed during the curing process. Unlike calcium silicate hydrates, calcium hydroxide is quite susceptible to freeze/thaw damage, UV attack and erosion from water and salt—the leading causes of premature deterioration and failure.
SOLUTION: Penetrx Liquid Quartz with Advanced Lithium Technology microscopically penetrates these materials and transforms calcium hydroxide into calcium silicate hydrates. It is the most natural approach to concrete preservation. The resulting added strength reduces vulnerability to brutal freeze/thaw cycles, UV attack, salt and other contaminants.
RESULTS: Penetrx Liquid Quartz strengthens surfaces by thoroughly filling concrete pores, capillaries and micro-fractures. Our Advanced Lithium Technology allows it to get into places even water can’t. In a unique process the solution hardens to provide the toughest protection available. Since it works within the substance matrix, it won’t change the surface properties—no slipping because you coated your concrete and now you can’t walk safely on it when it rains or snows. Your concrete, stucco, and similar materials also retain the ability to breathe—something essential for reducing damage from freeze/thaw cycles.
